Microsoft not honouring Mystery Solved Windows® licensing USB Promotion

Guess what I got in my inbox today after waiting some 7-8 weeks? Good job Microsoft.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for your interest in the Mystery Solved Windows® licensing promotion. We've received your request for more information to help clarify Microsoft® Windows Desktop Licensing pre-loaded on the USB drive. Unfortunately, this Mystery Solved promotion was available in the U.S. only and while supplies last. Supply is depleted at this time, so we encourage you to please utilize the online alternative today.

Simply download* the Windows Desktop Licensing reference files directly at:

www.microsoft.com/mysterysolved/corp

To help simplify Windows Desktop Licensing, keep these points in mind:

There are two legal ways to acquire a full Windows Desktop license: through your hardware vendor (OEM/System Builder) or Full Packaged Product.
Volume licensing covers Windows Desktop operating system upgrades only.
OEM operating system licenses live and die with each PC–they are not transferable.

Again, thank you for your interest in Mystery Solved and for helping us spread the word about proper Windows licensing.

Sincerely,
Microsoft Corporation

Blonde spainard?

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that a girl from Seville approached me to for directions to the tourist information center. Answering this blonde of over 20 (I reckon) in Español felt incredibly great.

La Alhambra

La Alhambra, ¿porque no demé suerte? Well, as you may have guessed, I wasn´t too lucky during this trip to Granada. Being one of the only three attractions of this city, which incidentally was the last foothold of Ottoman soil in Europe, the Alhambra is la mejor of them all. (The other two being the real Sierra Nevada and the Federico García Lorca´s home.)

Anyhow, this was the third time I had to hike for 25 minutes (5 mins from where I´m staying to Calle San Anton, another 10 from Calle San Anton to Calle de la Alhambra, and finally another 10 mins to go arriba la montaña.) Dios mio. Why the third time? Apparently you can´t just go any time you like (3pm in my case) and queue up hoping you get a general ticket. (The general ticket is the same as a garden ticket plus access to the Palacios Nazarínes and Palacio del Generalife, the 2 main attractions of the Alhambra.) The only sane way to get it other than queueing up bfore it opens at 2 PM and hoping that you are among the first 50 is to book it at least 2 days in advance from a travel agent or any BBVB (un banco) branch in Granada.

Guess what, I procrastinated until the 2nd and final week of my stay in Granada. The result: three gruelling 25 min hikes on 3 separate days only to end up with a garden ticket on the last since the only other choice was to leave Granada w/o visiting the Alhambra. Despite not being able to have seen the main attractions of the main attraction, the 3 gardens (Alcazaba, Jardines del Partal, and the Generalife Garden) offered a scenic and unforgettable experience (nevermind the fact that I managed to tour the whole Alhambra minus the palaces in just under 3 hours, when it usually takes 4).

Ai, and I also missed today´s evening cultural tour on the history of Granada. Darn.

Granada Spain

Here I am learning español in Granada, Spain where it is much colder than Malmo (right now, it´s about -7 degrees C whereas it´s about 0 in Malmo). Xmas here was interesting, though the family I´m residing with is not quite what I had expected (it was more of a commercialised service than a warm, cosy Spanish family that I was expecting, although this is definitely not the case for all the families- a Dutch guy going to the same course as me got quite a warm family plus a nice little present 4 xmas ...) Oh well, I hope i get something during Jan 7.

Am listening to this audio book already listend to the first two tracks and must say this is a great one. It's basically a satire about the 'greatest democracy' on earth. Posted by Hello
